Privacy Policy
Our goal is to give everyone a good experience with Verdenskortet – both inside and outside the park. In this connection, personal data is processed about, for example, our guests and partners. Personal data is all kinds of information that to some extent can be attributed to you.
The purpose of this privacy policy is to ensure transparency and give you an insight into how Verdenskortet processes the personal data we collect in connection with our activities to operate and develop Verdenskortet.
Processing of personal data
Personal data is the information you give us if you, for example, sign up for our newsletter, participate in competitions and surveys, register as a season pass holder, or make purchases in the webshop. In addition, it also applies to information that Verdenskortet collects when you use our services – for example, our website and webshop.
We typically collect and process the following information: A unique ID and technical information about your PC, mobile or tablet, geographical location, information about which pages you visit (interests) on our website and webshop – and your behavior on the given pages. To the extent that you enter the information yourself, the following is also processed: Name, telephone number, address, postal code, e-mail, date of birth, children’s name and date of birth, season pass information, products and dates.
This will typically be in connection with purchases in the webshop or when signing up for the Verdenskortet newsletter.
If you provide personal data about others than yourself (e.g. in connection with the purchase of Season Passes for others), we encourage you to first obtain consent to provide the information.
We only process your personal data in accordance with the personal data legislation. The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Purpose
The purpose of the data processing is to ensure a good experience and service for our guests – both inside and outside the park. The information is used to identify you as a user, to register your purchases and payments, and to be able to deliver the services you have requested. We also use the information in connection with the development of the park, to optimize the user experience and target our advertising, so that we can offer you relevant information about activities, offers, news and products across all channels – e.g. newsletter, social media, SMS, website and webshop.

When you buy or renew a Season Pass for Verdenskortet, we collect information about name, date of birth and information about the guests’ visits to and use of the park.
Marketing
Electronic mail
By signing up for the newsletter from Verdenskortet, you consent to Verdenskortet sending newsletters and service emails. These may, for example, contain information about news, opening hours, good offers and stories from Verdenskortet.
We process your name, e-mail address, first name and date of birth of any children, postal code, purchase history, visit history and information about tickets and Season Passes.

On behalf of Verdenskortet, the social media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) process information for group-targeted marketing about Verdenskortet and our services and products. If you want to know more about their processing of personal data, we refer you to keep up to date on respective social media.
When using and visiting social media, Verdenskortet can process the following personal data:

- Information provided in messages, comments or posts – either directly to Verdenskortet or publicly on the page, group or event.
- Information about your purchases and orders, if your inquiry to us concerns this.

- Information about you that is shared by other users on our pages, groups and events on social media.
Withdrawal of consent
You always have the option to revoke any consents given to Verdenskortet. In that case, we will delete and stop the processing of your personal data, unless we are entitled or obliged to continue the processing or storage of your personal data on another basis, e.g. legislation.
If you withdraw a consent, it may mean that we no longer have the opportunity to offer you the same products and services – e.g. on our website and webshop.
Withdrawal of your consent does not affect the legality of the processing that has taken place before withdrawal of the consent.
If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from Verdenskortet, you can withdraw your consent by clicking on ‘Unsubscribe newsletter’, which is a permanent link at the bottom of all newsletters. Your information will also be deleted automatically if you have not opened one of our newsletters in 12 months.
Contact to Verdenskortet
If you contact Verdenskortet – e.g. with questions for customer service – we only register the personal data that is necessary for us to help you with your inquiry.
Video surveillance
Verdenskortet carries out video surveillance in selected areas of the park. The purpose of video surveillance is both to give our guests extra security and to prevent crime.
The recordings from video surveillance are stored for a maximum of 30 days, and are then deleted. Verdenskortet accesses and reviews the recordings in connection with suspicion of crime, security-related incidents or in connection with internal and external control.
The surveillance cameras are registered in the police’s camera register, and in the event of criminal acts or suspicion thereof, Verdenskortet can pass on recordings to the police. The recordings can also be passed on if required by law.
Picture and videos from Verdenskortet
Verdenskortet continuously takes pictures and videos in the park, which are used for marketing, e.g. on social media, in our newsletter, in our printed media or on Verdenskortet’s website.
If recognizable guests appear on the material, Verdenskortet obtains consent to use the images in accordance with the Data Inspectorate’s current guidelines.
Security and confidentiality
It is Verdenskortet’s highest priority that all personal data is processed securely and confidentially. Therefore, we have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that your information is not accidentally or illegally deleted, published, lost, impaired or comes to the knowledge of unauthorized persons, misused or otherwise processed in violation of the law.
Personal data is placed on a secure server in a database that only Verdenskortet’s administrators have access to.
Period for storage of personal data
The information is stored for the period permitted in accordance with the law, and we delete it when it is no longer necessary. The period depends on the nature of the information and the background for storage. It is therefore not possible to specify a general time frame for when information is deleted.
Disclosure of information
We take good care of your information, and do not pass it on without your consent or other valid legal basis. If there is a legitimate purpose, in certain cases we pass on personal data to external partners who process the information on behalf of Verdenskortet. This may e.g. be in connection with technical operation and development of website and webshop, sending out newsletters, surveys and targeted marketing, including retargeting.
These companies only process data on behalf of and under the instructions of Verdenskortet. They may therefore not use the information for any purpose other than fulfilling the agreement with us, and are subject to confidentiality. We have entered into written data processing agreements with data processors who process personal data on our behalf.
Two of these data processors, Google Analytics v/Google LLC. And Facebook Inc., are established in the USA. The necessary guarantees for the transfer of information to the USA are secured through the data processor’s certification under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, cf. Article 45 of the EU Data Protection Regulation.

You can see which third parties are involved in the section on “Cookies” below. The information is used for targeting advertising.
In addition, we use a number of third parties for storage and processing of information. These only process information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

Your information will never be sold or passed on for purposes other than the above.
